Is 4.10 a gear ratio that would've came in a truck 10 bolt?

As the title asks, if so, can someone tell me what it would've came in?
5 lug.

I don't mind just setting up a brand new set of 4.10 gears in my rear end myself, but I was just considering also, a quick and easy swap if such a rare bird exists.

5 lug, Corp 10 bolt, 4.10 geared.

I know 4.10 would be more commonly found In a 70's truck, with a 3 speed auto or 4 speed Manual, and more like a 8 lug truck (3/4 and 1 ton), but I'm just curious if it ever existed in a 1/2 ton 2wd

I'm not sure if it was ever offered in a 2wd half ton pickup. 3.73 was definitely available though.

Yeah, I had a feeling 3.73 would be the best I could find stock.

So a regear would be the only option then, huh?

Probably the easiest option? There was maybe some factory combo involving a 4.10, but finding it would take far longer than seting up a new gear set. Imho.

What about swapping in a different axle as an upgrade while you're at it? Like a 6-lug 14 bolt from a newer truck? They could be had with a 4.10 ratio and I know you can weld on new perches and re-drill the axles/drums for the 5-lug pattern.

Yeah, I was thinking that in my mind.

Like the sf 14 bolt, and we've been over this topic before, but the lowest lug count you could find in one would be a 6, correct?

Or was there a 5 lug 14b sf like in the SS trucks

Yeah, 5-lug was SS-only. 4.10 starting in '91 too. But really uncommon to find. I figured machining the 6-lug stuff to 5-lug would be right up your alley.

Yeah, I can do that, wouldn't be an issue in the milling machine.

Only factory 10 bolt with 410 in that I've seen was a frt diff for 3/4 ton. Lowest for 1/2 is alway 373.

Is 4.10 a gear ratio that would've came in a truck 10 bolt?
