I've been on the fence about selling this truck for a while. I'm the 3rd owner, it has under 80,000 miles on the odometer. I hate seeing it go because it's a last of its breed numbers matching 3/4 camper special. But, I made a comment to my cousin I had a truck to sell. He's wanting a price and pics. I sent the pics and felt reservations selling it after seeing the pics I dug up. Anyhow, it's a numbers matching '81 3/4 ton camper special silverado.

What are your guy's thoughts on selling it? Knowing it's a rare breed and by selling it, it my may become junk. Let it fly. I need to hear what you think.

What number would you guys give? Solid, only CA surface rust, no mechanical issue at all.

Since these were only 81-82 for the Front Clips Sorta uncommon these days yes, and In my opinion the Less-Loved because they always!! Get swapped to an 84+ Grille Not many Original ones left around...

Seeing yours looks like my 82 C20, Not Camper Special but just a plain jane Custom-Deluxe... But being under 80K original miles with no rust or I would assume major scratches/dents I would say $5500-6000 Easily.

If I ever seriously considered selling that beautiful example I would feel terrible and apologize.
I think if I sold it- that fact would haunt me the rest of my days, but of course I don't know you or your situation.

Don't do it. You'll be sorry.

I think 81-82 was the better looking trucks..

I didn't like the looks of it when I bought it, but I do agree, it's a sharp looking truck.

I'm inclined to agree with Rusty. If it's not impractical to keep it, and it's not going to someone who will love it I wouldn't give it up.

I appreciate your guy's input. I told my cousin that I wanted to keep and he is not butthurt over it. Now to try and get my wife to like the truck...lol...

For some reason this truck is disliked by many people, even the previous owner hated it. His wife loved it. But I like underdogs, so this truck has had a spot in my heart for a while now.

This was the other pic I sent him. This is the one that made me lose it and want to keep it.

I wouldn't get rid of it either. It's not like it's going to lose value, and will likely as not, go up in value.

I would also keep it. Although I do admit I would probably keep every classic vehicle I’ll ever end up owning.

But I tried selling my 70 c10 once and someone almost bought it, even came with a trailer to check it out for the first time, let them cruise it down the road quick and when it was leaving on that cruise it hurt me lol. They were gonna take it,I just didn’t have the title for it yet so they decided to wait.

I had a terrible feeling of regret from the start of the situation so I ended up cancelling once they passed since there wasn’t a title yet. Over the years after that I’ve grown much much more attatched to it and I’ve already decided it’s mine the rest of my life. I realized that I was making a bad choice in my opinion and kinda was glad it went the way it did.

Long story short if you have no pressing reason to get rid of it then simply don’t. They’re going up in value anyways and maybe someday you’d be willing to trade it for something else you’re searching after. Or get an extremely good deal. Especially it being a really clean truck
