as much as it pains me to day this I have to sell my 1981 C10. my health has degraded to the point that I can no longer work on vehicles. I worked on the truck for 2 hours, setting an alarm to rest and hydrate and I still almost wound up in the emergency room. Right now I can not walk because of yesterday and after some deep soul searching (and a large scotch) I decided that my time wrenching has come to an end. I started working on cars at 15 and I'm currently 54...... I had a hell of a run and I learned a lot. I want to give a big "THANK YOU" to everyone on this list for all off the help that they have given me for my C10. You guys and girls are awesome and very "hard core" in my book and if I ever grow up, I hope to be just like you.
When it comes to cars, what I have done and what I've accomplished can never be take form me and with that, I'm officially done.

Thank you for everything

Mike Overland

p.s. anyone who wants to buy a 1981 C10 in the San Antonio area that has so many new parts (clutch, tires, carb, alt, starter and more). contact me at 210-564-5868 (leave a message and I'll call back). 500$............the tires are worth 500$! I would put a new column into it and I have the high side p/s hose. comes with a few extra parts and a decent stereo. cab corners are good. and 500$ is not only fair but not negotiable. I'll give this until the next insurance payment on July 9 and after that this truck will be sent to Pick and pull..........

Sorry for your health problems, Mike. Ya gotta do what ya gotta do. Stay as well as you can and keep us posted.
I would love to think that I might be able to work on vehicles again sometime in the future and if that actually happens, I'm gonna pull a square body out of a salvage yard and I'm doing all of this all over again

Tough choice, but I hope it’s the right choice for your health!
Have kinda followed your work in this and I feel like it’s in running condition, correct? (Hence the insurance payment) If so, $500 is giving it away. Even not running, a straight shortbed stepside is worth considerably more.
Financially, you must need the money or it would be worth keeping to tinker on as it is obviously a passion of yours. So don’t short yourself on the price.
And again, the best to you and your family.

Yes, the truck is running even though the steering column is kind of jacked up. The reason for the low price is simple. when I was younger someone did me a favor with a car when I needed it. This is me passing the favor along. could I use more money, yes, but I'm not here to make money. here's the breakdown: local sale 1500$ (the price of c10s in this are is very low) if you are a friend of mine 600$ and if you are on a forum that has saved my a$$ more than once (this would be you guys) 500$. Everyone here has done me a favor by reading and responding to my posts so.... I'm passing the thanks along.......

I’ll speak for the group and say no thanks needed here. Glad to help (if I have helped at some point).
I can appreciate your pay it forward point of view, just make sure you’re lookin out for number 1 first! Only the best to you going forward.
