First report of the bluetooth boombox.
1) the Soundcore boom 2 has remarkable low end thump for a compact speaker that cost under $100. WAY better lows than many $300 speakers
2) sounds MUCH better with the app. Use the eq to push the lows and highs all the way up and leaving midrange alone.
3) still working out the kinks for the magnetic attachment mount made from magnets and zip ties to hold the speaker in place.
4) Not loud enough. Seems like it should be much louder. Seems not as loud as the ones on the sales floor at bestbuy.
It is as if somehow my phone is limiting how loud it gets.
5) Media Button.
Media button is a definite yes. The only part that is staying for sure. BUY ONE.
It doesn't have to be this one, but get one! You'll love it if you ever stream music from your phone.
I want one on my desk, or anywhere i sit to stream music or video from my phone. I like it better than the actual steering wheel
controls of my modern daily driver.
you can change songs, play/pause, adjust volume.
Do the same for youtube videos,
and also acts as a button to take pictures remotely.
I think it will also answer the phone too but haven't figured that out yet.
The best part is since it is connected to your phone not the speaker, you can use it to control every device that is connected to your phone.
They cost about $15 on amazon and there are a billion versions on Amazon for $15 to $30.
I stuck it on a spoke on the steering wheel with double stick tape for a low buck steering wheel control of the tunes.
This one is 1-3/8" in diameter so I am going to drill a 1-3/8" diameter hole in the steering wheel to flush mount it.
