So would I be able to see it from the top of the engine or under the truck? I looked everywhere I could under the truck but can give it another go. The Mortec link didn’t provide enough detail for a noob like me. Going to keep trying!
Appreciate all the thoughts and the advice seems to match my thinking...somewhat mixed. I think I’ll go for the “new” BFG because I’m not as worried about the theft component (famous last words).
Good idea. BFG is 2017 and still haven’t heard on the other but I’m guessing significantly older. It was a spare on the seller’s truck when he bought it.

Thanks, that sounds like a tool I need to get. I was able to get it out by mangling the base and grabbing with pliers but I think I damaged one of the contacts in the housing (it was pressed in too far). I bent it back out but we’ll see if it stays.

It’s on my truck and I’ve seen them on others too so I figured it was a stock part. Some of them are a little beat up so was thinking about replacing them with new ones. I was surprised I couldn’t find them via Google.
