Has anybody seen a 7.4-454 with a little square tag on the right side behind the motor mount?

The tags reads : manufactured for general motors, part no.88890529, date 05-2002, serial no.17683, then 1113 at the bottom Any idea about what this motors origin is ?

Looking for a thread about crewcab with t400 rear axle gearing. Mine is to low need more cruising sp

I was thinking maybe a 3.42 and not be revving so high. I'm used to driving my wife's 95 dually with O.D. auto , when I get in the 86 it feels like it's in low range ! No fun to cruise. I'm not really trying to go 80 ! Thanks for the formulas. Gear vendors are cool but pricey, and my buddy has...

86 crewcab dually 454wth400 14 bolt rear end. The truck is revving to go 65mph on freeway. I'm running 215/75-16s and would like to be able to drive 80 like all the other crazies on the road! Any ideas about a good axle gear set to achieve this would be much appreciated.

Beautiful in Black my favorite, but very hard to maintain. I have a black 95 dually but it's all scratch up. Must be nice to have a safe place to store it. She's a beauty keep her like that !

Has anyone done the $50 Rustoleum Paint Job on their Square???

We used to paint all the work trucks with rustoleum thinned it with acetone, dried fast and pretty shiny to . Mostly white bodies with gloss black for service beds. Acetone is the secret to rustoleum, without it , it takes to long to dry. My 2 cents!
