    Thanks, Yes I took those (4) screws out but still needed to disconnect the ignition rod. I got it back together but now won't turn over so I think the rod bent.

    I was replacing the turn signal switch and actually tore column apart farther than I needed. Now as I try to assemble i believe the ignition rod came out of place up by the key area.     I converted my K5 6.2 to a gas engine and swap in a power booster set up. I had to buy a diesel pedal and assumed the spring originally had to go on the power brake pedal. I have a lot of travel with spring on and am wondering if I need the spring? Thanks in advance for the help
