I'm currently having issues with fuel starvation. At first, I assumed vapor lock because my metal line was touching the block. I replaced the line with rubber temporarily and still had the issue. I replaced the pump because It seemed like it wasn't consistently spraying fuel. The issue persists...
Bought a set of very clean doors off a blazer in a junkyard. Decided to instead repair my old doors. Trying to get back what I paid but price is negotiable. I paid 175$ each so 350$ for the pair.
The drivers side is rust free minus some surface rust around the old mirror holes. Corners look...
Hey bucket! I haven’t been doing much work to my truck recently, but I have been getting more into it. I hit a pillar that my mirror got caught on and it almost completely ruined the passenger door So I bought a set of doors from the junkyard imma get painted. I want to get the regular car style...
I’ve tried asking this question on the facebook group but got no helpful answers. The race is 100% FOR CERTAIN ALL THE WAY SEATED, but the seal sticks up maybe an 1/8” of an inch. This is also how both the old grease seals were before.
I was hitting the seal so hard with the seal driver and...
So I have wanted to play my spotify music in my truck for a while and have been trying to come up with a better way to do it than just using an FM transmitter. I want the best possible audio quality I can get.
I'd like to just solder a Bluetooth receiver board into the stock head unit somehow...
So I recently took out my stock head unit in hopes of installing Bluetooth somehow. I ultimately decided that I didn't want to mess with anything and ruin a perfectly good stock head unit. I also don't want to buy a new retro-sound or anything if it's possible to make use of my stock head unit...
I will definitely keep you in mind, but I think I'm keepin em. It kinda adds to the character of it and the fact that its a camper special. Plus it just would be super cool and retro if I lowered it and kept those on.
I just checked them out and I saw this:
I had seen this picture before but now I know where the wheels came from! I like the fact you can have clips put on and use the poverty caps. I dunno If I'd end up with white walls, but I really like those wheels with the lowpro tires. May be a little low...
That totally makes sense, but this is my first truck. It's what I got and I wanna make it as cool as I can. I haul stuff occasionally but never really anything big. I'm not too worried about losing a lot of functionality.
I know it looks like a half ton, but the 8 lugs make things a bit more difficult. I want to lower it somehow and give it a hot rod look. Right now its bone stock with 16.5s.
I am considering lowering my stock 78 C20 but havent seen many good looking lowered 3/4 tons to take inspiration from. I'm hoping I can get a few ideas on here in terms of what wheels and tires look good.
Just took a look at tirerack and seems a few people have noted how bad the transforce is for snow and light moisture haha. Cooper cobras and BFGS seem to get pretty decent ratings for snow. Only issue is they are both only offered in 15. Someone mentioned before not putting 15s on a 3/4 ton...
This post was very helpful thanks! The reason I went with those transforce tires was that is the only tire that is offered in a 16.5". I literally signed the title at the tire shop because the old tires were so badly rotted. Looking back I should've also bought 16" rims, but that's what I'm...
