Wiring Harness? Choosing one?
FWIW, I was able to find all the factory fuse block housings and terminals. They are still available out there. Crimping the terminals is the hardest part and really sucks without the correct crimpers. They are old Delphi terminals. The wiring schematic in the back of a chiltons or haynes book...- slammed84

Alt Replacement Options? A bit confused.
I would normally recommend Powermaster, however, the last one I bought already had an audible bearing noise at idle, and still does. But it works. I have also bought some new parts from that TYC brand on Partsgeek and RockAuto and I have always been impressed with the quality. Definitely not the...- slammed84

OBS Throttle Position Sensor
Not a squarebody question, but I figured there has got to be others here with 88-98 trucks as well. I bought a Delphi TPS sensor the other day and holy crap, it was cheap plastic BS. The keyed portion that connects to the throttle blade shaft was crooked and halfway popped out of the housing...- slammed84

Ignition Switch (Tilt Column)
To be honest, everything feels really tight on the column, almost too tight. The column is one of those things that I've never really been into past swapping a steering wheel. I'd rather find a decent used one and learn to rebuild it on the bench, then just swap it in.- slammed84

Well, I was able to make it worse, now it won't crank if the column is in either of the two highest settings. I didn't have the will to take it loose and start messing with adjusting it, sounds more like a weekend thing. In a perfect world I would rip the column out and rebuild it. It needs...- slammed84

There's no telling, all I remember is having to drop the column, adjust it, bolt the column back up, try to start it, drop the column, adjust it, bolt the column back up, try to start it, drop the column........ I put an ignition switch on my truck years and years ago. Since then, it has always been tricky to get the switch to engage while the tilt is up in the highest setting. Drop In Voltage from Windows and AC on
If it were me, I would be running the power windows through some relays. They would probably work much better, and put less strain on the electrical system in the long run. Mystery Tachometer
I remember from years ago there was an outfit that was reproducing these in small quantities, but they wanted way too much for them. Something crazy like $300, and not sure if it had the gas gauge built into it like this.
