    That sounds low. My 98 c30 with 454 gets 10mpg. 85 chevy K10 with 6.5 turbo diesel gets 24 mpg . Depends on your driving habits too. 4;10 with no overdrive would not give you good mpg. Mind you the Canadian gallon is bit bigger. 4.5 liters compared to 3;78 liters in US gallon.

    My 85 K10 diesel has eagle 16" aluminum alloy wheels. I run 265/75R16 10 ply tires. They look great on the truck. My problem is my slide-in camper. It weighs 1100 lbs. The truck can handle the weight fine with the 3/4 ton springs front and rear. It is the thicker alloy wheels that bother me...

    Roar in cab after dual exhaust installation.

    Hi. Had the same thing happen to an 84 C10. 6.2 diesel. 84 had tail pipes and x pipe. no luck. Ended up selling it. Found out later I need to install ' side branch resonators '. Just a 4' long pipe that dead ends on each side . Look it up. Something to do with sound waves. Cheers

    Thanks. I have been leaning in that direction. Have looked to no end for Torklift tie downs. I think the plan is find a piece of steel , weld some brackets on then drill and mount to the frame. I don't want to weld directly to the frame rails.
