    Look on the exhaust side of the heads for a # usually a single digit, it can help put and age on it, and the lower the digit the more valuable/rare they can be.

    I found the issue, it was the clutch master cylinder. Replaced it with a new one and all her ills are gone. I ran a search on "slave cylinder" and it lead me to a thread about Hydraulic clutch problems. This site has come through in a big way, Thanks all.

    Fixed the broken pin with a valve cover bolt and a hose clamp, I read about in the Bill Vista article. Thanks again!

    Is it possible that the fork could be two short? There for not enough leverage? This truck used to be a Holmes tow truck and was in a bad accident, would not surprise me if A odd ball fork was used.

    Just checked the fork and the pivot ball look good. I am thinking that the bearing might have come off of the fork clips.

    Got it by breaking one of the retaining pins (accident). Then figured out the twist lock deal. Not sure what gear its in, but it is in A gear. Hopfully it wont be to hard to find a replacment roll pin. Could have saved myself a lot of time and effort if I would have waited for your answer...

    i am changing the clutch in my truck this weekend and I can not seem to disconnect the shifter from the tran. A friend of mine told me to just knock the roll pin out and bing. But the roll pin seems to be very solid. Is there a trick to removing these? Not sure what trans it is but it is huge...

    Summit stage 1 intake manifold?

    Thanks for the reply. I already have dual exhaust. But plan on upgrading the muffler size and pipe size soon. Will give an update as soon as I install the new intake. If anything, I know i'll be getting some weight off the nose of the truck.
