th400 transpak after install issues
I was actually thinking about going that route but I really dont drive this thing but maybe once a week when its running and thats just to haul off the trash or just cause I like cruising in it,lol. as an example, I only put about 500 miles on it all last year. th400 transpak after install issues
pump was taken to trans shop today to get checked and have bushings replaced. my modulator is adjustable(must have been replaced at some point) but i really appreciate the offer. ;) talked to transmission guy and he said if i overtightened the valve body bolts it may be causing the 1-2 shift...- Liltroy

I definately wish I would have went with transgo from the start. I'm on a position now where I dont want to spend any more money. Thats why I'm asking about working with what I have already. I'm planning an LS/4l80 swap next year so I only want to do whats necessary to get it running till then...- Liltroy

crooked crossmember/ warped frame???
options tag in glovebox says m40 which is th400 transmission. a th350 would have had rpo code mx1. at least thats what everything Ive been able to find says. I could be wrong but everywhere Ive looked says rpo code m40 is for th400 3 speed auto.- Liltroy

i understand the th350 suggestion but the issue i have is that the crossmember doesnt look crooked despite the the fact that its bolted back an inch on the drivers side thats why i was worried about the frame. ill crawl under there and take measurements to see if it is in fact crooked. thanks...- Liltroy

hey guys I need some help/ opinions please. I have a 74 stepside and just dropped the transmission(th400) to replace the front seal. when I was unbolting the crossmember it seems that the passenger side uses the factory bolt holes but the drivers side is about an inch back and has had new holes...- Liltroy
