    I replaced the hose, which was a Gates 22187, with a Gates 22013 using Dorman help 14186 spring hose clamps Here are some pictures Before: After: The spring hose clamps I used because I had to buy/return several times to fit So far no issues

    At ~6k feet. I replaced the radiator hose and put spring clamps instead of hose clamps. I'm pretty sure the thermostat froze shut but I ended up just avoided driving it in cold weather. So far no issues. I still need to top off the radiator but it drives around well for the most part.

    It was on the v8 setting so idk what to say regarding the 200 rpm I saw. It was definitely below the 500 mark.

    I appreciate the advice, I was lucky I pulled off before I left my neighborhood. I refilled the coolant yesterday and it took 2 gallons of coolant 50/50 to fill back up. I still need to take my gauge cluster off and fix my engine temp gauge needle so if it happens again, I can keep a better eye...

    After installing a tachometer today, I was idling around 200 RPM or so when my truck was idling with the defrost on. Could it be that the water pump wasn't able to move the fluid around at such low RPMs and then caused a pressure build up? How do I test if my water pump is failing? I think...

    That's a good idea. I'll definitely look into adding vapor traps on the fuel tank vent lines later. Right now, as far as I understand, I'm running well with the new evap can and removing all the fuel filters and adding an inline filter.

    Having similar issues with my qjet. I added a modified Mr. Gasket spacer, removed the carb side fuel filter and e-pump fuel filter and replaced with an inline filter, and rebuilt the carb with a walker set. I still need to test drive it but if it continues to stall on me, I'll redo the fuel line...
