All time 4x4 / NP203 Truck Questions, hard to make tight turns
My 78 k5 did the same thing. Eventually the case will slip as long as it's not in loc, its a 203 thing. Best conversion kit is one that includes a 205. A 208 will work too. Got my new manifolds in, welded my exhaust back in and installed my transfer case with a newly swapped 32 spline input. This 700 to 400 swap its going way easier then I thought. Put new holes in the 400s crossmember. Other than that everything bolted right in. Didn't even have to adjust my... -

Dash brake light flashing
My 91 burb just started having the brake light on the dash blink. Long flash followed by 3 short, or 3 short followed by 1 long I don't know which. Drives fine, seems to brake fine. Did a little bit of research and have some kind of rwal system may be acting up? Anyone familiar? Same old issue... -
What have you done to your square lately??
Installed a license plate light from vatozone. Didn't want to drill any new holes in the bumper so this one because it uses the holes for the plate. Very wimpy wire- check. 8 feet of said wire included- check. Chrome- check. Plastic- check. Too bright- also check. -
Modified transfer case question 83 K10
Was just gonna say this. @Michigan K10 whats on the tag? Doesnt look like my 241 in my 91. It does kind of look like a flipped over version of my drivers drop 241 that was bolted behind a 4l80 in a GMT 400. Its definitely had some work done. You've got my interest peaked.- Jawzjeep

Soften the ride.
Besides the springs check to make sure that your spring eye bolts weren't over tightened too. Seen it happen. Rode like a pogo stick.- Jawzjeep

Welcome from the great north wet. Nice low miles on that 87. As far as tips, take good care of suburban specific parts. Some parts are unobtainium so check on how hard or expensive certain things are to replace before ripping it out or possibly destroying upon removal. Highly recommend...- Jawzjeep

Help me decipher what lift I have...
I measured from the top of my spring pad to the bottom of the bump stop bracket so as to eliminate a difference in the spring pad height. My dana 60 has spring pads that are are taller off of the axle tube then a 1/2 or 3/4 ton.- Jawzjeep

My suburban has 6" tuff country hd lift springs on it and I get 12" from top of spring pads to bottom of bumpstop bracket. There's lots of variables though.
