K5 Blazer repaint cap body color or white? How to remove fading paint on fiberglass.

You're right about it being harder. Im a painter so I'm probably a bit more set up for it than others. Not a car painter mind you (cabinets, conv varnish, lacquer, stains, dyes, custom front doors, log cabins) but most of it including the equipment crosses over. Most the time I prefer a 2...

@TDoc That's fair. I use it to remove anodizing and have seen what it can do to some aluminum so I was just putting a warning out there, glad you had good luck with it.

Was going to recommend gelcoat but thought it would be considered too labor intensive for most here. OP, be careful with that oven cleaner around aluminum

Show off your non-square project cars.

Yep it's got those seats. Leather, fake walnut, Bose sound, OnStar, tint, power everything including moonroof ...They pretty much through the kitchen sink at it. They went for like 30k right up next to the Blazer that was only 15k or something like that.

2in lift with a soft ride

I've been considering swapping out my 6" tuff country HD springs for some 4" ez rides for the same reason, softer. Please report back!

This is my current project. Not the one I want but the one I need. It's name is Project Daily. I picked this thing up last year for $500 running and driving needing tlc to use as a flipper. I've got $1,300 into it now. I quit my job on friday that I had for 17 years with a company vehicle...

    Kick panel Speaker Mounts

Add a crossover and get rid of the base out of those speakers ‍ In another vehicle I used a thick coat of elastomeric on the back of the panel which helped a lot... good luck

Dana 60 front brake hoses with prebent caliper end?

Alrighty I'm just going to go with it then. If I didn't already have brand new Crown hoses I would probably go with the AN setup. They're pretty nice. Thanks

    Engine woes

Check your coolant temp sensor while you're at it. When mine was bad it would work fine for a few minutes and then act stupid. Good luck.

Dana 60 front brake hoses with prebent caliper end?

Nothing on either one of the hoses comes apart. This is my crown hose on the left and what I took off the Dana 60 when I got it originally on the right.

Dana 60 front brake hoses with prebent caliper end?

Just put a Dana 60 in the front of my 91 Suburban. The factory brake hoses that were already on the axle had a 90° metal end in the hose where it met the caliper. The stainless wrapped extended brake hoses I have on the burb already will bolt to them but don't have that metal 90° bend in them...

    General Spring of KC

I agree. Good price for the stuff I got too I got some Wagoneer Springs from them for my YJ. When I asked them if they would add a military wrapped second Leaf they said they couldn't though.

Planning my Suburban build - Advice wanted

My 91 has a tuff country EZ ride 6" all spring lift with 37's and I still had to tastefully trim my fenders. Heavy rear tire carrier bumper and winch bumper up front made it worse. Sliding that front axle forward an inch would help with the firewall side. And count me down for another vote...
