    Th400 being in 3rd by 25mph

    I've never worked on an automatic before and really need some advice. My truck is an 86 k20, with a mild built 355. I'm trying to make it more road worthy, and I know it shifts into 3rd at about 25 mph. How do I fix this? Any help would be great!

    Alright, I guess I need to go to the nearest junk yard. I'm probably just going to get a donor harness since my wiring skills aren't the best. Are the core supports a pain to get off?

    Instead of buying a new radiator support, could I just cut bigger holes for the lower lights? It seems much simpler to do that than replace the front end.

    Well.... Now I feel really dumb, So would it be the same scenario with the vacuum lines? or is it something different with the different transmission? Thanks for straightening that out too haha.

    Also I just read another post of yours about th400 problems? You said no vacuum would mean a very late and hard shift? Could that be the entirety of my problem? If so, how would I go about hooking all of that back up properly? What all is necessary with the vacuum system?

    Well my new theory on this is to get this truck for the engine and body parts, and find a NV4500 and t case to throw into my k10. That would be a good fit I'm guessing? My question is what would I need to do to fit the nv4500 to the 454? And would I be able to use peddle assembly, slave cyl, etc...
