I pulled the shield off the 86 harness last night and trimmed off the older excess wiring and It looks like it would be easier to just keep the 86 wiring and overlay the tbi wiring. Thanks for the help.

Look on ebay for a no weld o2 bung. It's a stainless band with a bung welded onto it. You just drill a hole in the pipe and clamp it on. They come in different sizes. They are a little pricey at 40 bucks though.
I might be wrong but I thought the 400 was a few inches longer than the 350. Also I believe the 400 has an electric switch for the kick down mounted inline with the gas pedal. Are you using the original transfer case or one already mated to the 400?
