    I would toss that unit and put in an electric selectable unit. You can get the proper spider gears from GM but they are around 400.00 and for that much cash you might as well get something good. On a side note if you are not changing the gears you most likely will only have to set back lash...

    I found a hobby shop that deals with these cars and I bought some new bodies so that I don't ruin the Snap on bodies. I see that I could spend a lot of cash in that store. They have some cool stuff and prices to go along with the cool factor.

    I always check for fuel then fire. If no fire usually ignition module if is completely dead or a fouled plug if it is just running rough.

    That is a bummer. I have been dealing with my dealer for many years and he has always been a stand up guy. Of course. We also have Mac, Matco, and Cornwell dealers making the rounds as well so there is competition and incentive to treat customers good.
