Got up early and removed troublesome z-bar, heated arm and bent so the short push rod was better aligned with clutch TOB arm. I don't know if it works any better, but I sure fell better about it. Can anyone tell me where that spring is supposed to be anchored? Today or tomorrow I should get LMC...
Anyone got a pic of a z-bar out of the truck, 81 short wide C10 in this case? I have something out of whack on mine. The short rod to the clutch arm runs off at a funny angle, inward and down, just doesn't look right. Clutch arm too short or arm on z-bar too far from bell housing. everything new...
Has anyone ever removed the drip rails? I've taken the screws out, but seems they are glued on or is it just the paint? Can you get them of and back on or is it better to replace them?
Thanx, Bob
Thanks
Well, this is an 81 and the wood piece is curved at the RH end. I will in time make a wood dash too, at that time I will move the gauges to the dash, I just didn't want to mess the printed circuit right now.
That is where it goes, yes. I made it about a year ago and never got around to installing it until now. A little time standing on my head should have it installed.
I have two long blocks and the one in my truck, all have separate intakes. Offinhouser and Clifford both make intakes, Langston makes what look like nice iron headers.
Hi Guys
I need to make a new Clutch push rod, (81 C10, SWB L6 engine) the one from the clutch petal down to the Z bar. Does anyone have their truck apart and could you measure the length of that rod, center to center?
Thanks, Bob
