Got up early and removed troublesome z-bar, heated arm and bent so the short push rod was better aligned with clutch TOB arm. I don't know if it works any better, but I sure fell better about it. Can anyone tell me where that spring is supposed to be anchored? Today or tomorrow I should get LMC clutch ball end push rods. Already arrived is a 4 barrel carb and iron headers, waiting for the intake manifold. When all that is on I'll feel this ol truck is highway dependable.: cheers:

On the inside of the frame rail behind where the z-bar mounts there should be a tab with a small hole for the hook on the spring.
