Frame swap
Because technology changes. The only thing I like about that ford is the independent rear suspention on a stout gearset. Instead of purchasing and fabricating parts to lower the truck and change the suspention.- Flyboy367

Rear discs
I'm not opposed to drums, I just dont need that much steel. I'm really contemplating just swapping rears out. I need new drums, all the hardware, wheel cylinders and lines. Then next level would be gears and a locker cause I plan to run the truck down the 1/4 every now and then. I'm just trying... -

Yea I'm always on the fence. My gf has a explorer and when I ordered brakes they sent a set of calipers for some reason. All I really know is I dont have the gears I want, a locker and the total brake setup needs to be replaced as my truck sat in a field for at least 10 years. -

That is benny's, that's the kind of info I was looking for. Although a transfer case brake might not work. I dont have a transfer case lol. I'm honestly considering just getting a 9 inch. I'm planning on being more performance oriented. -

For the 14 bolt semi float I've seen a few different disc brake conversions. What's a good one with parking brake that someone here has used? I have a manual trans so I need the brake. -

Anyone fabricate a crossmember? I have the top loader 4spd currently and want to switch to a t56 in the future. Thinking about dabbing one that I can mount either trans and jump it to clear dual exhaust.- Flyboy367

Brake lines
I can do it I just dont want to lol. But the truck sat in a field for at least 10 years, all the lines need to be replaced -

I have an 86 longbed c20. I'm shortening the frame to fit a shortbed stepside. It needs all new brake lines. Would regular c10 brake lines fit? What kits do you guy like to use? I just had to make lines for my girlfriends explorer and frankly I dont want to do that again lol -

I'll have to look into it. I jumped at a squarebody with a stick and a stepside bed extra for cheap. Didnt look to see what type it was lol. I want a nice ride not stuffer then a teen on prom night- Flyboy367
