    Gauge cluster lighting fix

Update: I realized about 2 minutes after I posted that the reason the fuse only had 8 volts to it is because the headlight switch also acts as a dimmer. So when you're checking for power, make sure the knob isn't turned all the way to dim or you'll have 0 volts at the fuse.

    Gauge cluster lighting fix

Just wanted to post a quick thread in case this can help somebody in the future. This is for a 1978, but I guess might be applicable for 80s models also. I had a problem with no instrument cluster lights. Headlights, marker lights, etc. all worked. So did the light for the fan/heater control...

New owner of a Frankenstein K10

Thanks for the feedback and the welcome. I should be bringing the truck home in the next week or two, and then I'll do a little more digging for the VIN on the frame, check the hump to see if it looks like a different one has been welded in, etc. Sounds like some of y'all have the same...

400 SBC Build - Tight Budget

Is that basically just the same school of thought as what Chevy did with the 302 in the Z/28? Bigger bore with a shorter stroke to get higher revs and HP?

New owner of a Frankenstein K10

Hey everybody. I'm new to the forum, and sort of new to square bodies. I just purchased a late 70s 4wd to use as my play truck at my cabin in North Georgia. I'm looking forward to digging into, getting it running and looking a little better and making a few upgrades here and there. (I'll be...
