Added this head unit and figuring out if I want to mount it in upper AC vent slot, or keep it in middle. I moved hvac down to bottom slot, since it was opened already.
Sorry fellas, I was installing audio system. Nothing under it, but hump from metal. I didn’t put dash clips in, so maybe that’s it? If I don’t push dash under weatherstripping, it is way too far out to bolt down in front.
I find lots of threads about pads, but not how to get the clips in. I have this pad from summit and it is of poor quality over speaker areas. Another problem is metal where you are supposed to install clips seems buried and inaccessible. I tried to bend a tab on one clip and it broke. Do I...
@Rusty Nail Hahaha It was behind the dash in that sock, I found it when getting access to the cig lighter hot wire. Must have been there for many years.

Update: it was the red wire. The head unit didn’t stay on long enough to turn amp and sub on.
