I pulled the transmission pan and adjusted the cable until until the little arm that touches the valve Plunger is just touching it, and when I go wide open throttle, it pushes the plunger completely in.

I have a 87 Chevy suburban v10, and it has a newer 700R4 tranny. I am wondering if it is normal for anybody else to be driving at any speed even highway and when you take your foot off the throttle, it automatically downshifts. And I know the TV cable is adjusted correctly. Any ideas would be...
