    Switching to aluminum wheels

I just picked up a set of factory aluminum wheels for my ‘87 K5. A friend told me that if I use the original lug nuts that came with the steel wheels, they will “eat” into the aluminum because the nuts shoulder is too small. Do I need a special lug nut for the aluminum wheels, if so does anyone...

APB - Check your cowl seam seals!

Thanks for the heads up on this. I took my cowl cover off yesterday and sure nuff, the seam sealer is cracked in several places. Guess that explains the holes in the passenger floorboard. Definitely should have been welded at the factory.

    In search of larger wheels

    I wanted a small tachometer so. .

    K5 Removable Top Question

As far as I know the tops are the same. Slider or one piece glass was just a matter of what optional equipment the truck had.

    Hello from Arkansas

Hi everyone. I recently bought a 1987 K5. I have wanted one ever since I was in high school. The engine has been replaced by the previous owner with one out of a 91 pickup and it has the original 700R4. It runs and drives but has minor rust issues. The suspension is stock which is one of the...
