When I installed the leaf springs rc in the rear ,I remember I was 1/4 in off from the 2 in. So 1 3/4. It fit the 49in holes. I replaced hangers in exact spot. And the front was a little off I can't remember exactly but I think it was 1/8 off from two inches. I went with rc 2 in cause of...
After watching several videos of YouTube on this. I'm the only one who has this damn piece of plastic in the hub go figure. Custom? Oh the first 4 lug nut I came across was probably torqued to 598 lbs. Damn socket wanted to slip off the nut, kinda like the scarecrow from wizard of oz walking for...
Replacing rotors and found this. Cam follower. Or is it supposed to be in two pieces? There's a tooth missing also. This is plastic it doesn't stick to a magnet. Anybody got a part number. 82 k15. It's a 10 bolt.
I was thinking that also. I only said solenoid cause it reminds me of a starter solenoid when the battery is dead. After work I'll go under and tighten everything.
Not sure on cam and new springs but I recommend if u have umbrella seals to get all rubber. All I could find was hard plastic fel pro . Went to machine shop and they hook me up with all rubber. The originals were hard plastic and most were cracked with no top for valve guides.
Update. Trucks not smoking drove around for about 30 min. And no smoking. Relieved. Happy happy. Just to put it out there but the valve spring compressor rent a tool at AutoZone and O'Reilly's was junk . Good ole harbor freight was great .
It's grey smoke . pretty sure. I've just been kinda lazy on the choke. Cold weather. I was going threw some oil pretty fast. A quart or so every week just driving around the block few times. The valve seals about 7 or 8 didn't have the tops connected.
I'll probably still do a compression test. I thought if it was rings the smoke would be black ? It runs good. Although it does take awhile to idle. electric choke. Holley.
Didn't know any body commented on here till know. I changed the valve seals umbrellas. some seals where cracked everywhere they had no top to em. I think I had 3 out of the 16 that was in good shape. I'm guessing they were original cause they where all hard black seals. Went to machine shop and...
