    Quick fender question

Thanks, that's pretty much what I was fearing. Looks like its either time to start trimming or get some fiberglass. I got spoiled with the Dodge's being able to fit a 37 on stock wheels and have no rubbing at angle of steering or articulation.

I really do enjoy the Flagstaff, Munds, Sedona, Williams area of AZ. Plenty of water, woods and terrain with a GREAT forest system setup with Kaibab and Coconino NF's. The White Mountain area is pretty cool but damn is it out in the middle of no where! When Show Low is considered the city...

Doooooooooooo it! Personally, I want to get the hell out of PHX and up to the high country. The heat can kiss my ass! I miss snow, 4 seasons and trees that don't attack you and over 6' tall.

    Quick fender question

Yup. I want to order some tires and trying to see how big I can fit stock. Uptravel is the name of the game!

Nice! What took you out of Phoenix? Most people move here but they don't move out unless its military, allergies or immigration :P

    Quick fender question

How wide is the opening on the front and rear fenders? I really don't want to trim if I don't have to but I'd love to get full travel out of the front and rear.

    Seeking softer ride

Through the desert, baja style. That can be anything from rock, sand, dirt, whatever..... hit it as hard and as fast as you can. It's very common out here to see a $2k vehicle have over $10k in suspension and another $5k in cage and armor. We don't like to sit around, tool around the farm...

    what is this?

Parts look like they've literally sat out in the sun for 10 years and the black paint actually faded to grey. None of those races or bushings are gonig to be good. The housing of the joints are going to be rusted up on the inside as well. The heim on the trackbar is probably rotted too...

Haha, we have our own style out west. It's not about if you can take on the obsticle but more of how fast you can do it.

    Seeking softer ride

Nope, don't have to go through and 4 link (albeit very cool) but just having them make some progressive rate leafs. Ya, it'd be more expensive but the payoff would be WELL worth it. As for shocks, some Bilstein or Fox 2.0's would be great and only cost about 1k. The trucks already ride like...

Any of you guys ever think about upgrading to something more than "out of the box" suspensions and whitebody shocks?

    what is this?

I know what that is, it's about 14 bucks in scrap metal! Every bit of that stuff is shot and belongs in the trash. Whatever it was wasn't meant for much abuse and more like a mall crawler setup.

    Another 4500 swap question

Ya, just looking at the price was making me feel violated. Other suggestions? The offroad goodies will be much further down the road once I get my tacoma baja-proofed. Until then, the SB is going to be my DD (no I don't care about mileage all that much) but having a 5sp would definitly give...

    Another 4500 swap question

K, I've already done a quite a bit of research but the whole back history in the world of GM is missing from my knowledge bank so sorry now if some of these questions are elementary. My truck is as follows.... 82 K30 454/sm465/205 I got the truck to build up, restomod, tool around town...

Ya ya, I meant K, not C. My excuses follow... 1) I'm a noob 2) It was late 3) My girlfriend was nagging me 4) The fear of blizzards in Phoenix was distracting me 5) Sunspots were messing with my brainwaves and made me type the wrong letter. :D Pretty stoked that there isn't a lot...
