Rear frame support/crossmember on 2wd
Yeah, figured it was the spare tire hanger because of the location of the hole in the center of it. And it does have that rear crossmember there, that's where my ground got tied into for the bed because we all know how awesome the grounding system on these trucks are lol. Battery is only needed if she's an automatic, pop start that b*tch and let it roll....... But anyways good to be back and see things are the same here. Did some stuff to the truck only to get it inspected for another year. Found a header blew a hole clean through it on the passengers side... -

Ok, so heard something that had me spooked a bit today. Took a turn on an incline and heard a bang like something threw a baseball into the side of the truck bed. Well with the limited availability of certain things, I bought a 3d printer and have been busy tinkering with it. The plastic eyelid grille trim retainer pieces have finally given up and I've taken on the task of 3d printing some parts. And a nice little bowtie display piece and some grille... -
Question about checking current flow to the choke.
I also run power from an ignition/key on only source if you don't have the "necessary" electrical oil sending unit. I've done this with many trucks and never had an issue so far. I've ditched the dummy light sender on basically every single truck I've had and gone with a mechanical gauge. Yeah...- 83Stepper

85 K10 with stacked headlights - are these connectors correct?
Low beams on top, they have the 3 wire plug, and high beams on bottom with the 2 wire plug. You can clean up the contacts inside the plugs and they will work just fine. My 83 has the original plugs and they work like a charm. I cleaned them up a bit to make sure they were getting good contact...- 83Stepper

Excited to see all the progress everybody is making. I'm just over here driving my square around and just enjoying it. But today I did some tinkering around and stuffed some stereo stuff in it for now. Haven't done anything custom with it for now, just stashed it in there and tested it all out... -
