Fuel pump or ignition kill switch?

Ok- this makes sense to me now. I’m going to attempt a switch on the ignition wire to the starter. I appreciate the info!

Fuel pump or ignition kill switch?

I believe that switch is located on the column, under the cover. I was trying to avoid taking the whole column out, but I’m not sure I can get to those wires without taking the whole thing off. I guess a somewhat easy install isn’t so easy?

Fuel pump or ignition kill switch?

Yes it’s a carbureted 350. I figured it was mechanical since I wasn’t seeing a relay and found where the fuel pump was located. Thanks for clarifying. Are these the wires/switches you’re referring to?

Fuel pump or ignition kill switch?

I’m trying to install a kill switch on my 76 K15, but I’m not sure where to start. Does anybody have experience or references on how to do this? I’m having a hard time locating both the fuel pump relay and my ignition switch. I would like to run a toggle switch to a hidden place in the cab...

    New 4x4 project!

Well, it’s been a while since I’ve posted an update. Figured it’s about time since today was the first day back on the road (big smile). Since I tore into this thing I’ve done the following: -Edelbrock Performer intake manifold -thermostat -valve covers -Edelbrock Avs2 650 carburetor...

    Lower Radiator Hose

Do you do this while the truck is running? Going to try to do this today. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Lower Radiator Hose

Alright so I got it off last night. It took some cutting, but it eventually came off. I’m glad I’m replacing it because it was full of gunk. The spring broke when I took it out of the old hose. Does anybody know why they have that in there? Is it just to keep its shape and so that the hose...

    Lower Radiator Hose

Yep, I did all that. Got under the truck, still no dice. I’ll see what I can make happen later today when I have some time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Lower Radiator Hose

Ok, I’ll see if any of those techniques work. The only problem is being able to reach where the hose connects to the water pump. Maybe I should have done that before putting the fan shroud back on...[emoji848] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Lower Radiator Hose

I decided to replace my radiator, and within the process figured it would be good to put in new upper and lower radiator hoses. Has anybody done this, and if so, did you have a hard time moving the lower radiator hose? Mine seems to be stuck, or maybe there is some sort of piece that holds it...

    Valve cover replacement question

I have a 76 K15 that I’m replacing the intake manifold and valve covers on. I’m trying to find some aluminum covers that will work with this set up. I see that most aftermarket covers only have the two holes, and don’t include the PCV hole. I see some people running the aftermarket valves, how...

    Removing Screws From Aluminum Frame

I sprayed some liquid wrench on my seized screws. Let them sit for a few minutes. I tapped the screw driver with a hammer and they eventually all came lose. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    New 4x4 project!

Hey there, I'm new to the community. I just picked up this 76 GMC 1500. Originally a CA truck, but I purchased it in Oregon. Has a great patina and is mostly stock. The truck needs interior work, which I look forward to completing. Everything else seems to be pretty solid.
