Interior panel for 85 K20 Suburban

Anyone know who might be selling these. I need the interior panel cover for the tailgate (with window seal).

I broke mine and can't, for the life of me, find that or the carpet piece that goes over it online anywhere.

For what it's worth, I find the tailgate to be much more useful without the plastic cover. You can set tools, parts, groceries or whatever up there and have no fear of breaking the plastic. Larger heavy items can slide right along it too when you are loading stuff by yourself.

yeah but the plastic panel has the seal attached at the top. With the window any lower than rolled all the way up to the top the glass will rattle as a result. And moisture loves coming in all around the window without that seal pushing it out towards the other gaskets (even when tightly rolled up). Mine is not attached to the tailgate since my handle linkage is bent, I need to reach inside and actually pull the rods to open the gate, but I still place the plastic/carpeted panel back in place each time before I close the gate just for those reasons.

There is a specific inner seal that mounts on the tailgate, for models that didn't come with the plastic panel. The plastic panel actually wasn't an option until sometime in the early 80's.

I don't know what dictated if the panel was installed either. I've had a couple 86's that were Silverado trimmed and had the panel. But my '88 is Silverado trimmed as well and it never had the panel installed. Original tailgate and no screw holes.

huh, that's weird. I knew some of the older trucks were just metal back there, but I thought by the late 80s (especially Silverados) they all had carpet/trim back there. On my truck there is no special code signifying that part was an option, I always just assumed that by that time it had become standard
