I'm going to go counter to the group here. I love Avalanches. I think it's the most practical, creative and well thought-out vehicle GM ever devised. I wish they still made it and offered it with a Duramax.

Is it Mexican? 1st character of the VIN will tell you. 1= USA, 2= Canada, 3= Hecho en Mexico.

From the articles in car mags the sales slump was blamed partly on the plastic side cladding by GM and they offered them without it.Besides leaks and reliability issues.

Imagine invading a country for enforcing laws on your countries immigrants who moved to their lands and beating them like it was no tomorrow and then forcing them to SELL you the huge as land of the northern part of their country when you could have just taken it, and naming the state when it became a state after their country, calling it new
Badass #America

To be fair, we didn't name it that... it was already named that. Before that it was "Nuevo Mexico" and before THAT it was "New Spain".

That definitely isn't the reason for the Mexican-American war either. We started that war by poking Mexico with a big stick over Texas until they finally attacked us. Then we went ahead and used it as an excuse to "acquire" most of what is currently the American southwest(which happened to include what is currently the state of New Mexico). This was after Texas had a revolution and become an "independent" country, but was heavily petitioning(at least the big influential ranchers were) the US to annex the territory.

I just wanted to shout out to the Avalanche supporters. There is much persecution, but be strong! We will trounce them with our 8.1 liters and plastic Mexican cladding!

Guys, Josh was calling it Mexican because of the big chrome wheels, not its production location
