I have 78 k10 stepside, both fuel filler and vent hoses are toast passenger side fender has the round hole(no door0
having trouble finding the correct hoses. LMC does have step side 73-76 called them and got measurements on the hoses vent hose from LMC is 10 1/2 inches long, mine measures around 15, filler hose measures 4 inches to 90 bend, then 11 to tank (from LMC) mine measures 2 or 3 to bend, and then 15 to tank Anyone know anything about this? other sites say 78 have the door over gas cap, not the round hole bulk line might work for vent (pretty straight) but would like to get pre bent filler hose with out piecing one with elbows and clamps

as always, thanks for any help you can offer

I've been told that the fillers are not being made anymore (I need a pair myself), but the hoses appear to be availible here:
https://www.fillernecksupply.com/

Let me know if you find a source for the fillers, I've only found one so far and it is rusty. If those hoses are the right ones, let me know because I need to order a pair. I am swapping a stepside bed onto my 78 and didn't grab the fillers when I bought the bed.

Apparently Chevy moved the fill hole on the fender up 2 inches in 77 and 78 then went to the door in 79 that's why 73-76 hose doesn't work

Thats good to know, I thought the only difference was if you had a round filler or one with a door. I am not sure what year my stepside bed came from.

I just went through this with mine. 1977 stepside with dual tanks i ordered a pair of hoses from classis truck parts for a 1973-1978? After a 6 month backored i finally got them. They are for the 76 earlier version. I ended up cuting them in the middle adding a section of 1-3/8 steel pipe to extend them about 4". It actually tured out fairly clean and Functional. Just reslly sucks to have to customize parts that should be stock repacements.

This makes sence.... my dads 73 stepper gas door was way the fook down low with the cap, no door. It was a bitch to put gas in, had to have the nozzle sideways or it would puke out. PITA!! No wonder they went 2" higher.

Any updates? I'm looking for the filler hose on an 83 stepside. There is some that look similar for late 70's but I cannot find anything from the mid 80's. LMC truck suggest trying this one:

We bent up a coat hanger for a pattern and spent about two hours at an auto parts store looking at all the radiator hoses and taking them out and test fitting them.

Finally found some that fit

I might can find the numbers on them somewhere in a couple days

Everyone says you can’t use radiator hoses for fuel but they work fine

Probably have a shorter life than an actual fuel hose, but no one makes hoses for Stepside’s that fit worth a crap.

did you find the part number of the hose you used, I'm looking now for a passenger side replacement for my 1973 stepside.
