Tinting is a must. In the summer my A/C can't keep up and it feels like hell in the cab. As for the front bumper, Its extremely scratched, got holes at the bottom, and those stupid guards. I'll end up getting a new one from LMC. It's less than $200 and looks brand new. I'll rob the bolts from the original bumper and go with that. Headlights need to be brighter, LED or not. I want to keep the classic, stock look but want to be able to see at night. Do y'all have any suggestions? It's a daily driver btw. First truck for me. Parents bought it as a Salvage when I was 14. About to be 17 now and I love all the heads it turns. I'll be a squarebody fanatic for life :)

Seems to me like you answered one of your questions
Add vintage air
Or oldair
Nice efficient AC
Right now I’m plumbing my replacement cab for heat only
But I’m thinking of just blocking off the openings and going with one of those two here soon

I have a 87 SWB Sierra and she's basically all stock besides a suburban back bumper, a little drop, and rebuilt suspension. I just want y'all's thoughts on what else I can do for her. Thank you

Sweet truck man. Leave as is appearance wise, if you have the urge to build it...Buy a different motor, build it. Buy a different trans to handle your hp goal. Remove the original engine and trans... Add built engine/trans. Install currie ford 9" rear with disc conversion. Swap it all back to stock if you ever sell it and have the engine/trans/rearend for the next build or sell it quick asf on the net.

Sometimes just a new set of headlights make a big difference. There's a million different headlight upgrades you can do. Some cheap and some not.

I understand the point of the ford 9 but i hate when people put ford parts in a chevy. Some reason it just hits a nerve lol

Haha I have a lot of chevy only minded people in my life because it's a one stoplight town with a chevy dealership in it and that is it and I worked there as a kid transporting purchased vehicles to the dealership owners other car lots in surrounding towns...I am a ford guy and have built some really wicked vehicles mostly fords which where so fast they shouldn't have been street legal. All things with engines are fun in my opinion. I used to wear a sweatshirt I got custom made in high school that said "American muscle in the front and your import sucks in the back" 12 years later I can say I have owned some wicked fast imports that made grown ass men curl into balls in fear in the passenger seat.

Motor build is a must, but not possible with the job I have rn. I'd like to put in a 5.3L or Lq9 cammed and all. Right now there's a 350 TBI with headers going down to flowmaster 40s that are dumped behind the rear axle. Sounds nice, makes no power. For the time being, I'd have to keep the 350. It only has about 80k miles. I want to make it quick but wanna keep the 350, any suggestions besides engine swap?

Quick you say?
Cut the tail pipes off just in front of the rear axle, put a posi with 3.23 gears in the RA. She'll go quick.

If you start LS swapping, your truck will lose its soul and story. Like Rusty said heads, cam, headers and be happy.

Sure. Change the camshaft and the cylinder heads plus add headers.
do you suggest any brands or specs? If not, it's okay. I'll research it. That'll teach me more anyways.

And yeah, I wanna get rid of the TBI and go look in the junkyard for a 4 barrel intake manifold and then order a 4 barrel carburetor
