I have a 87 SWB Sierra and she's basically all stock besides a suburban back bumper, a little drop, and rebuilt suspension. I just want y'all's thoughts on what else I can do for her. Thank you

What do you want to do with it? If the goal is a nice cruiser, I think you've nailed it.
I was thinking of putting a new, regular, front bumper on to match the back one. I also want to swap the headlights for some LED's

Screw led headlights , you'll turn yourself into a douche.

I think the bumper thingys look like crap - unless you wanted to kill the natural flow of the eyeline...? They really detract from that natural movement imo.

I am also a sucker for clear side markers..I run incandescent clear bulbs in my front end. The eye hangs at the unnatural orange that looks like nothing else on the truck since you asked me? Less stuff.Less color. is better.

Good luck, it's a cool truck. I like the rear bumper a lot. Suburban you say? Hmmmmmm.

That's a great looking truck. I'd LITFA.
I agree with Snoots. I don't know that I would do alot. If it were mine I might tint the windows a little and drive it like it is. Nice looking truck :waytogo:

Again, I really like it just how it is. Simple, clean and classic. As far as the bumper guards, I'm indifferent. But you can simply remove them and replace with regular bumper bolts, as the bumper itself is the same. Just give it a good scrubbing with #0000 steel wool and then wipe it down with a terry towel. It should look just about like new.

Well you can call me a douche then, lol. I have LED headlights in my Celebrity, but it's function over fashion. That car sees a lot of backroads driving in the dark during the summer. The lights really help out and may save the car's life (deer).

Tinting is a must. In the summer my A/C can't keep up and it feels like hell in the cab. As for the front bumper, Its extremely scratched, got holes at the bottom, and those stupid guards. I'll end up getting a new one from LMC. It's less than $200 and looks brand new. I'll rob the bolts from the original bumper and go with that. Headlights need to be brighter, LED or not. I want to keep the classic, stock look but want to be able to see at night. Do y'all have any suggestions? It's a daily driver btw. First truck for me. Parents bought it as a Salvage when I was 14. About to be 17 now and I love all the heads it turns. I'll be a squarebody fanatic for life :)

.........or maybe raise it to stock height . .. JMO
I felt like this was the perfect stance for her. Not too low and looks mean. My next set of tires will come with new, wider rims for the back.

Let's face it , it's NEVER gonna be"done". You're gonna keep messin with it as long as you have it and that's not a bad thing. I like it , and it is your truck ,so have at it!

It is good to see a young man enjoying the good ole Chevrolet trucks. The new trucks have no soul.
Can't even imagine spending so much money on a truck. So many features and such but no matter what, it's still just a truck. I don't need a tailgate that can transform into 5 different things. I don't want a tablet in my truck. I don't want a $5000 climate control system. Everyday I see kids at my school pull up in $60,000 trucks and I just laugh. They'll never know the feeling I feel everyday I go out and crank my truck. The dumped exhaust that you can feel in your chest. New trucks have no soul or story.

I agree with the tint idea. Black trucks look good tinted.
