Blue engine?

I thought about it this morning weren't most chevy engines orange mine is blue? Thanks guys.

If my feeble mind recalls right it was 77-78 when they changed to blue..

Just did an upgrade on one of those about 6 months ago, built a 540 with a 1471 and Enderle hat, had to paint it all black because the guy hated the blue, lol..

'77-'83 were the years of "Corporate blue".

Blue engines have smogger heads and low compression, dished pistons.
