Hello everyone,
I am Josiah. Im originally from North Carolina, but as work goes. I just recently moved to the lovely PNW. I was a former owner of a 79' K-10 Silverado. I loved that truck but when it blows a headgasket in a Chevy truck junkyard. It's kinda telling you something. So I parted ways with it that day.
Well after moving here, I decided that it was time for me to find another truck to handle tow rig/camping/offroading. I got in this discussion one day with a co-worker. Well he informs me that he has an old Chevy truck that he's looking to sale for a good price.
I go to his house to look at it and it is a 77' K-20 Silverado Camper Special
. He is the second owner and has every record of everything done to the truck since 1980. He's been through everything on the truck and is very meticulous. I have not taken ownership of the truck yet as I'm working overtime to pay for the truck. I should be able to pick it up in the next few weeks. In which it will take over as the daily and my RX-8 will become the weekend toy.
All that I know about the truck for now is that it is lifted (not sure of the height as I forgot) on 35's. It has the 350 from a 69' Camaro in it (guessing 4 bolt main, not sure of the power though). Has some heavy duty bumpers mounted with fog lights front and rear. He had a custom Griffin aluminum radiator made for it a while ago. Before I pick it up we are going to give it a full tune up and make sure it needs nothing before it leaves his house.
Once I get the truck I will post pictures. All I have for now is a few of my old 79'. So thanks for having me. I'll probably be lurking around reading and learning more about these amazing trucks.
Also I do not know exactly what is different about the Camper Specials other than the higher towing capacity. So I any help on what they have would be appreciated. Ill also do some searching myself to try and figure it out myself.

Sounds like something out of China. The name alone scares me.
