Hi my name is John and im from Quincy, IL. I am currently restoring a '88 Chevy V20 Suburban. It has a 350 with a TH400. The body has quite a bit of rust and requires me to replace all 4 doors, the tailgate, fender wells, and some body panels for a cost of around $9000 that's including the prep work, labor and paint. 
forget that, i found a '86 with an almost perfect body minus two small dents and small amount of rust above the windshield. My plan is to swap bodies and motors 
the '88 is a 4x4 and the '86 is a 4x2, and personally i love my 4x4s. i have already installed a 4" Rough Country suspension lift kit with new leaf springs all around, nitro performance shocks, and dual steering stabilizer (yet to be installed) sitting on 35x12.50x16 all terrains (for now). i was trying to post some pix but its not letting me at the moment but they will be on as soon as i can. I look forward to getting to know you fellow square body chevy fans.
