Wondering if anyone has had a successful shorty header install on a 1977 C10 SBC 350 with air conditioner. And if so, which headers did you install? i'm a newbie – so any input is greatly appreciated.

Imho, if not going with long tube headers, just stick with manifolds.

And I'll throw it out there, just in case it might apply here... many people think long tube headers are for high rpm and racing, but it's just not true. The benefit is often more power in the low and mid range rpm.

I agree to both parts of this. I'll add to the second part by stating that the smaller the tube, the better low end performance is.

…in my C15, the cross member represented a serious “plumbing” issue. The header install did take it’s amount of work.

I'm sure I'm in for some of that as well. Especially trying to fit 3" aftermarket cats with long tubes and a 3" system.

I will make a thread for that too, probably more a bytchfest than anything, lol.

Welcome from Austria. Get quality headers, the cheap junk headers have a tendency to leak.
