Emergency brake cable routing goes straight into exhaust

I have looked and seen some threads close to this but couldn't see a good resolution for my issue so thought I would ask. The factory bracket and guides that I bought from LMC have the brake cable either going straight into the side of my exhaust or rubbing across it. Neither of these are desirable so wondering what anyone with the same issue has done. I am in the middle of a frame off resto-mod and this is one of the final mechanical things to do. It is an 82 short bed with an LS swap using Tejas mounts and cross member. Headers are shorty from Amazon with 2.5" pipes that go back to before the rear axle and dump. I have considered the electric e-brake but am unsure how the cable would route to one side without experiencing the same problem. Any help and ideas are appreciated.

My older "K" truck has a little different style of e brake cable routing but I'm guessing you may need to weld some bends in your tubing to route it out of the way from the cable and up tighter in the frame.

Some other ideas:
May be able to move the mufflers towards the front of the truck some
May be able to adjust (rotate) the mufflers at an angle instead of parallel to the ground
May be able to switch to offset inlet mufflers to move where the pipes are routed

I'll add to make sure your cable doesn't hit when the e brake is at rest and engaged... I didn't consider that and the adjuster on mine just barely touches the tubing when the e brake is set.

@TotalyHucked is in the middle of a tricky exhaust on a C-10, maybe he will chime in.
