Slight set back. The NP205 transfer case on my truck is 27-spline so I'm having to convert it to 10-spline in order to get the Advanced Adapters kit to work. Ordered the parts so just waiting on those now! Everything else is going smoothly.

Well, now I know why my K10 felt a lot more underpowered than it should have with this Blueprint Engines 396 stroker.

It didn't have a stall converter in there, just the factory setup!

I'll bet it's going to feel a lot peppier with the TR-4050.

Transfer case is done being swapped out for the 10-spline (replaced some bearings while in there) and today I'm going to attempt to put the new transmission and transfer case in since I'm going to need to measure for new driveshafts. Fortunately I've got a guy here in town who specializes in driveshafts and he's got a very quick turn around time.

How is the swap treating you? Assuming the T case has been modified accordingly and is installed.

Looks like one of those 12" POS Thor converters that Monster Transmission sells

Whatever it is, it's not what should have been in there. I'm just happy to have the automatic out. I know some people like them but I hate driving automatics. It just takes all the fun out of driving cars IMHO. The only place I make an exception for that is with the family SUV when driving the kids around.

Swap is almost complete. Just wrapping up some final pieces like the pedal assembly, etc.

The only thing keeping it from running is the Edelbrock Pro Flo 4 EFI which I decided to install at the same time. That's almost done as well. I'd say within the next few days it should be running (also waiting on the new driveshafts was well).

I decided to get rid of my Sniper TBI and go for the Pro Flo 4. The rail injection seemed like a worthwhile upgrade while I was already in there.

Worth mentioning that there have been several clearance issues with the clutch setup. I’ve been back-and-forth with Chris at Silver Sport and I think we’re finally on the right track. For some reason the flywheel provided with my kit isn’t within spec for this setup. They sent me a return label and now I have to send this one back to be exchanged for a new flywheel that is .250 thinner so I can properly shim the hydraulic slave cylinder.

These TR-4050s are still relatively new, it sounds like it was an oversight on the kit components.

Interesting, when I asked it was just a clutch for the setup. I haven't ordered my engine yet as I am still doing metal work.

Once it's all said and done I'll get an update list of all the parts used as well as the part numbers. That will probably help. Silver Sport had mentioned this is a newer swap so they're still figuring some of it out as we go.

I don't know if anyone else has done this to a C/K series truck yet.

The exhaust is going to need to be slightly modified as the transfer case is now hitting the driver side tubing.

Driveshafts changed roughly 3” length difference. Moved towards the rear.

Transmission crossmember will be moved backwards 1.5” and new mounting holes drilled in the frame.

I assume it is all installed now, how do you like it?
