Me too. I wonder if you could just turn your jack stands and hang yours by the handle?
Yes and no... it works, just just have to hang them correctly

I am surprised that harbor freight doesn't have top-side creepers. If they do, they don't show on their website, nor in any searches. Can get them from many other outlets, but not HF.

Ordered mine here:

$20 cheaper now than what I paid , but is free shipping and folds up to get out of the way.

Hmmm, that just might work. The top side creeper was going to be mainly for working on the Tahoe. Most everything else I can lean over the fender or grill just fine, or crawl into the engine compartment.

Had one at work for everyoneI liked it so much I bought one of my own. I have the top one. I think you could make the bottom one easy with a short step stool. Shorten the locking bar and front legs so the front legs are straight up and down, parallel to the tire, instead of at an angle. Then attach a loop of rope, strap, chain from the top of the front legs to loop around the top of the tire. You could even shorten all 4 legs to get the best height and angle.

I was messing with an engine I had sitting in the bed of my pickup. Was going to get a step ladder, but remembered I'd bought one of the tire steps like Ricko1966 posted. It was perfect. Put me right at the right height for fiddling with the leveler and the lift hook on the motor.

Too, I bought one of the over-engine creepers at the same time. Game changer. I cut a foot or so off the bottom of the sliding part so it would land just an inch or so above my radiator at its lowest point. Otherwise, it would have forced me to work several inches higher than necessary.

Even with the over engine creeper modified to go lower, it will still get up over where I'd need to be on a truck a couple feet higher (over my head) and getting to the distributor and such is, now, a snap.

Bought a couple new jack stands, in light of the fiddling I need to do under the truck (brakes, wiring . . .)

Have a couple more white-orange, heavy duty jacks. I set two other blue, no-name's out on the street to disappear (lasted almost an hour).

AND I bought a new charger. Our car has an AGM battery, and they don't like the way our old reliables operate. Northern Tool had this for $70.00. Amazune wanted about $170.00.

I think I'll get this for now. It'll come in handy for working on vehicles, washing vehicles, and doing things around the house that require a higher reach and a little more mobility than a ladder can provide.

If I get that old I'll use this type and cardboard to protect the truck....and can be used around the house. Sorry...over thinking. I have one, never thought to use it this way. I just slap some thick styrofoam on top of the sh|t and lay on that. Can't get cheaper than that. I do have a 3' box thats 12" high that gets me up there. Storing it is standing it up.....works well for trans pedestal and other things as well.

Getting to my shackle flip and rear leaf swap soon, didn't want to sketch it up anymore after the axle swaps. These will be much safer!

Big dogs, mainly for the height.

Also finally got a five gallon bucket full of evaporust and have been putting that to work.
