If you haven't already, post in the main mods section with the question. Could be a few things to name, but need more info on what's going on with it. Hopefully you were able to get it home tonight to start tinkering with it.

I'm just south of the border from Uxbridge! Any groups I shoul look out for to meet up with when the weather clears?

So after several hours of picking up the trailer and going to get the rig it was in the driveway around 4:30 yesterday.

In the glove box there was a sticker for loading slide in truck campers, as wells the sticker with all the codes, so I'll want to start deciphering all of that. The truck supposedly has the 350 4 bolt with a th400 tranny, so I will want to verify all of that as well.

It runs oddly when it warms up a bit, so I took of the air cleaner to check out the TBI, and noted a few vacuum lines that weren't attached, as well as some linkage that wasn't attached, and in the bed is what looks to be a throttle return spin, so... I have some investigating...all that said I was able to do a little one legged burn out in the driveway. My wife was super impressed!

Also just tried posting pics again from her macbook, not on my VPN and still a no go. Not sure what the deal is, but if I ever get it sorted I'll out some pics up!

Welcome from NC. I just went thru idle issues with an 87 V10. CTS & pigtail, thermostat, IAC, MAP & checked all vacuum. Ran rich & idled irradic. Access DLC & 12 code was all it listed. I replaced the PCM & cured the issue.
Maybe this info will help.

Nice intro and solid lineup of projects. An ’87 square body is a great pickup — hopefully it’s just the IAC or a small TBI issue. Good luck getting it sorted, and an LS swap later on would make it a really fun truck.

I will point out that while going through the RPO codes I confirmed the TH400, but its coded for a 305, the guy I picked it up from said it had a bad motor and that they swapped in a low mile 350, I didn't realize it was originally a 3o5, but this could be why its running oddly and explain some of the disconnected pieces...more to come though!

I'm up in the Dudley area, and yeah there are some pretty nice spots to hit up with the truck once you get her going pretty decently. I usually find my way down to Brickstone Kitchen in Sutton for their cruise nights once in a while. Thompson Rod & Gun Club has a decent one, there's always the Lions Club show in Uxbridge every year that is good. Putnam's show this past year was insane! They moved the Wicked Big Car show to the speedway in Louden NH this year, won't be going to that one. But I also hit up a few of the Cars & Coffee events near me in Spencer, Auburn and definitely hit up the one at Tree House Brewing Co in Charlton.

Glad you got it home and some of that mess sorted. A lot of working on these old squares are undoing the previous owners "modifications" lol. Look forward to seeing the progress on it bud and maybe we'll run into each other at some point in time
