step loop

Hello fellow square body enthusiasts. I'm nearing the end of my rework on my 1985 K20. I lifted 4" and put 35's on it. Being only 5'10" and my wife a little shorter I'm wondering if I could get some advice on a step loop. Not wanting Nerf bar. I don't see a lot of strength on the pinch weld under door. Found some on real tree that look nice. Wondering what luck others have had.

I put a set on my K20 for my wife. They work quite well. Didn't want the ole' running boards.

I couldn't find many choices for Squares when I was building mine.
I decided on these, not loops though.
These are sold by Aries(?)
They aren't bolt on, it took some pretty extensive fab work.

Karr steps. Got mine from Lmc, they work great. I also didn't want nerf bars or running boards

They mount to the inner rocker panel. I used nutserts on mine

I'm 5'6 so I know what it's like. Search Mytee Products in Ohio. They sell small trailer folding steps at a great price. Only one foot at a time can fit on it as compared to a running board where two feet can stand on it the same time. Over the last ten years I've seen the steps on square bodies. By the way the Karr steps are sold in a wider version called hoop steps. I bought a truck with Karr steps and there was a triangular spacer behind the seam, and I never had a problem. If you have side tanks, you may have to put a small dimple in the tank with a hammer.

I have these on my 87 I put a doubler- flat bar along the bottom to stiffen it up. I am 240 pounds and no issues
