Welcome and man i know about alcohol and eBay. Want to buy a 350 that has been bored .60 over, had two dropped valves and only a couple of gallons of water in it? Oh but it is painted really nice!
Hey all, thanks for the add. my 75 K10 isn't new to me, I've had it for 13 years since that fateful evening in 2013 when emboldened by some choice beverages and pretty pictures on a computer screen, I hit a 'bid' button with a smile on my face. The next morning while sipping my coffee and trying to clear the fog from my brain, I saw a 'Congratulations' email and upon reading further, nearly spit out my coffee when realized I had in fact purchased a vehicle while I was sound asleep, and then had to figure out the logistics of going to pick it up (the same day due to my schedule) about 300 miles away.
A lot has been learned on this truck in the last 13 years of tinkering with my Franken-body... I have been creeping on your guy's forum for hints and tricks on things, but am not much of a people person, so have stayed in the shadows. Figured it was time to make an intro, ask some questions I can't find answers to and maybe even throw in my 2-cents on something I've run across with my truck.

Wait, are you drunk again or? just playing. What’s under the hood and gearing?

Ok ok... wow, didnt realize that pics were the key to be welcomed here!?! Don't have any on this computer but maybe a few on my phone. So what are we looking for here? Full frontal? From the back, dirty under-carriage geez, starting to feel dirty. Didn't realize that this site was so sleezy So am I also getting tips for these pics!?!?
(in all fairness, I figured pics were just for the pretty ones!)

Yes and yes!
Just transplanted a blueprint 383 into it b/c the old 350 blew. Gears??? You mean besides the reverse and the forward ones??
But honestly no idea. Not one of the issues on my list to figure out at the moment

So since I've been chastised for posting and disappearing (which is going to happen all the time btw) I'll ask my question and hope for an assist.
I've been trying to find the black horn (ground) wire that should be going to the horn relay mounted on the core support. I have NO black wire in the bundle that goes along the drivers side from the firewall to the core support/headlights. Seems like the newer years have their relay near the fusebox in the cab, so the 78 and on up guys can't help me out here, but our 75s still had em out in the engine bay. Anyway, I've traced the wire down the column and to the back of the fuse block, but without pulling it out to see, not sure where it goes from there. Im actually looking for which pin on the connector block it comes out of in the engine bay. Or does it?? since its not fused in the fuse block, but powered from the fusable links at the power junction on the firewall. Does the black wire come through a different cable bundle?
Thanks in advance...
