Are you unfamiliar with them? Just google them, there are a couple different styles if you don’t want to make your own.
And I’d install them asap on any straight clean 70s hood. Spend $25 and like 20 min to almost ensure you’re not gonna crease an OE hood is cheap insurance.

but does anyone have good recommendations on what company to go with for hood braces.

I don’t even remember what ones I bought. But iirc, there isn’t like a good, better, best. Back in the day we’d just make em out of a little piece of steel angle.
