C4 Corvette 3.33 gear D44. Pretty much a complete D44 C4 swap setup including batwing, C-Beam, and driveshaft (not pictured).

$1500 cash. South Western PA. Local pickup only

Supposedly a 1989. At least that is what I was told when I purchased it. I have not verified.

No. All '84 models and all 85-96 automatic equipped cars were D36. All 85-96 manual trans cars came with the D44. The popular upgrade for the A4 cars is to swap in a D44. I was going to swap it in to my '87 and have everything here for it. Probably not going to happen anytime soon so I thought I would offer it up for anyone who may be searching for one.

Out of curiosity, did the ZR1's get a D44 too, or something else? Was 3.33 a typical C4 ratio, or was it like other GM cars that were common to have anything from a 2.73 to a 3.73?

Seems like a 3.33 d44 would be the ideal setup for the average C4 owner.

Yes, the ZR1's had the D44. I'm not 100% sure on the available ratios by year and model. But I think that they were available in 3.07, 3.33, 3.45 and 3.54. I really searched for a 3.33. I thought it would be the ticket with the L98/700R4 combination.

Now dang it, if we keep talking about it I'm going to get cold feet about selling it....LOL

That's why I'm looking at it. Specs say it's different than the earlier ones and I need to figure out what's different, and will it matter.
