I have a 1983 k20 with a 6.2 diesel and I'm at the point of needing to start throwing parts at it ain't cheap. I have a small block 350 that I could rebuild and throw into it but I feel bad to be getting rid of that stock diesel. So my question is in the community is it better to stick with the 6.2 or is that just a rabbit hole of money?

depends on what you want to do?? I have the 6.2 in my daily and its been great and very reliable for me. 350 swap is easy too and no real modifications required. Nice looking truck. Interesting flatbed

agree and if needed only temporarily. Stash the old engine in the back while you think about it.

You said you would have to rebuild the 350 which involves $ and time. I would invest the time and $ in the diesel and feel god to have the stock engine fixed.
Nice truck. My 0.02$

You'd get more input from the community,if you took 30 seconds and actually introduced yourself said hi,etc. before you start asking things.

If you swap it, keep the existing radiator. The diesel radiator is noticeably bigger and won’t hurt to have. You’ll have to adapt the radiator hoses but it’ll be worth it.

At the risk of making a sick joke, what is your budget? (Yeah, I know.) If all things were equal and everything new and perfect, which engine would you rather have?

Personal opinion, I don't think the value of the truck would a be affected much (if at all) whatever you did. Unless it's some kind of a concours show vehicle that travels everywhere in a trailer, nobody's going to be too worried about all the numbers matching.
