1984 K10 Fleetside longbed with 2.5 lift. Don't want 12.5 tires - want to keep the tires wide but thin enough that they won't kick dirt on paint. Looking to see if anyone has put 34 11.5, or around there, that can show me some pics with the 2.5 lift. Thanks

I can dig up a photo later, but had 32 x 11.5 Yokohama Geolandar AT-S on 15x10 wheels with 4" backspacing with stock suspension.

Currently running a 4-5" lift with 2" body lift on 35 x 12.5 on the same wheels.

The 32's were still inside the rear fenders, fronts were either flush or less than 1/2" outside the fenders.

Any tire sticking outside of the fender will throw up mud, dirt, water or rocks.

2" suspension lift ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
No 6" suspension 2" body. I was showing that a 12.50 fits under the fenders.... lift has nothing to do with width. He is wanting smaller diameter and width which choices aren't as good with a 10.50.

IME they are both too tall. Even if you're not off roading, driving into that mall at some point you will be turning
and hit a bump or the lip going up into a driveway and metal WILL meet rubber. 33" tall is the max with 8.5" rims and
4-4.5" backspacing, which is what you want, will still meet fender under a little more extreme twisting. Hard off road driving and I promise you will thrash metal and rubber. Even 6" lift with 35s will contact if you twist it hard enough. But there are ways to minimize this issue. Something like an "E-Z Inch" in the front leaf pack will give you the opportunity to move the front axle forward and inch. This in combination with even 4" lift springs, a 1"body lift and perhaps some fender trimming only in the front and you can get by with the 35s. But if you REALLY twist it and add some speed and force, still get crunch. It also depends where your cab is sitting. They can move forward and back about an inch (barely) on the frame. You want the cab as far back as possible. Drives better anyway, again my opinion. But let me qualify this, my opinion based on my experiences directly and watching my buddies tear up their tires.
And FYI I should add, that to get the kind of twisting and articulation that would put 35" tires into the fender you would need long travel shocks and cross over steering. You wouldn't be able to turn the steering wheels enough twisted to the max with the stock steering setup. Oh I know, it's a can of worms.
And of course you realize that 35" tires means new gears for your diffs...eh?

I don't know what that first word is?????lol
You know what it is but I misspelled it from the Portuguese it is so you could pronounce it. In Portuguese it is exactomente..
(exactly). In the northeast of Brazil they butcher Portuguese to extent it's not Port anymore. If a word ends in 't' or 'te' they pronounce like a 'ch'. And 'd' is pronounced like 'g'.
Anyway lets try give OP some love.

Great information. Is there are benefit, or drawback, to going with 9" rims instead of 8.5's? Am I looking at 285 75 17's as the max?

Now my truck, as stated ha 6" lift springs up front, 2" add-a-leaf and shackle flip for another 4. The add-a-leaf didn't give me 2". And a 2" body lift. The front sits higher which is fine with what it was built for. I have 36x12.50-15s with tubes on stock 8" rally's. The fronts might poke a bit but the rears are well covered. This truck is not a rock crawler, it's for mud. Street truck a 33x12.50 would be good especially if it's a mall crawler. Your driven wheels are well covered.

I'm thinking 11.2 or 11.6 is wide-enough and 33's should be tall enough
