4" lift on a k20 is like a 6"lift on a k10?
That I’m not positive. I feel like what you’re saying is correct as I think the half tons Sat lower originally. However I believe it’s all in the springs. As the K10 and K20 have the same frame depth and front axles.
I haven’t researched lift springs a lot. Idk if K20 aftermarket lift springs are taller or higher spring rate than K10 springs.
The blue truck came with them and they were pretty shiny, so new ish and not saggy at all. Also I got a big block with working AC…and bumper thingys…lol.
Internet says anywhere from 100-200lbs heavier bbc vs sbc.

So I’d imagine the same springs would add a little height with a small block.

K10-K20 share the same frame. The K30 uses a slightly different frame setup, 6” lift on K10/20 is still 6” lift. The newer trucks have the taller frames where 4” on a 3/4 ton would be closer to 6” on a 1/2 ton.

On another note I have a 6” on my truck with 315-75-16 on a 16x8 with 4.5 bs. They don’t rub but the barrel of the wheel almost kisses the tie rod ends.

For all practical purposes a 315/75R16 is the same as a 35x12.50 There will be differences from tire manufacturer to manufacturer.

I have the same 315/75R16 on my 83 K20 with a 4" Rough Country lift. I believe they are considered a 34" tall tire.

Another question did you have to re-gear?

how about 16x10?

The wheel diameter doesn't matter. It is the wheel backspace or offset that will matter. The less backspacing you have the more "room" the tire/wheel need to pivot around on the front axle.

And when I ran 315/75R16 tires I didn't need to re-gear. I have 4.10s However I have a 383 that puts out pretty good torque. I stepped up to a 37x13.50 and I can feel I've "lost" power. I haven't tried pulling a trailer yet, but should be doing that this summer. I suspect I'll need to re-gear.

Not exactly. I think the 3/4 tons by nature were about 1" taller than the 1/2 ton trucks, but the lighter duty trucks also had softer springs so it flexes a little more. You may rub. I have a 2" on my 1/2 ton 'burb lift and 33x12.5" tires, never even came close to rubbing so I would think 35s probably wouldn't rub with a 4" lift and especially not a 6", but who knows.

I ordered 16x 10 with a -34 offset.
Hoping that wont rub
