I'm thinking 11.2 or 11.6 is wide-enough and 33's should be tall enough

I went with 295/75r16 Toyo Open Country tires on 8" rims. Lift is a 3". Sounds close to what you are looking for.
Hope this helps.

Looks good. That looks more like what I'm trying to achieve. Any issues with the size impacting driving or suspension?

Thanks ShiftPro!

TNT, no unexpected problems. Did this lift/tire combo about 2 years ago when I bought the truck. I'd been out of the older trucks for about 15 years and forgot how much "wander" the larger tires cause. Not horrible, but noticeable. My last older truck was a 72 Blazer with 33's. I don't think you'd have any rubbing issues or other problems with a 2 1/2" lift, unless they're stock springs that already sag. These are new springs all around.

I looked more closely this afternoon, and the entire tread pattern is inside the wells, but there is just a little bit of sidewall that extends outside of the fenders. I believe this combo equates to a 34/11 or 11.50. I measured when they were brand new but didn't write it down. They're just a tad wider than I was expecting/hoping for.

Good luck!

Chris

Chris,

That’s great info. I think I’ll get closer to 33 and 11. That wander info is something I haven’t thought about.

Very much appreciated!

That looks real damn good. The wheels aren't over the top so to speak. I'm a kind of a big wheel hater lol but they work with your truck:waytogo:
