Date code says 2015. So they’re getting up there but the rubber is still very pliable and no cracks- looks like someone pasted them with some nasty stuff at one point and it really attracted a lot of dirt. It’s one of the reasons I don’t use really greasy stuff like Black Magic anymore. FWIW, they’re a little too bright for me- but the difference between the new Cobras I have on the front and the older ones was too much, and I only replaced the fronts to go with a smaller size for the upcoming lowering. I might try again with what you and @Bextreme04 suggested. But they were really dark tan, almost brown. Thanks you guys for the suggestions :favorites37:
Try a wire brush too, you might just have a bunch of old paint on them now.

^I’ve always used the Bleche White stuff. Don’t need it often but it seems to cut the brake dust and tire shine residue real well and make the tires black and the letters white again. Even on old crusty white walls and white letters.
Do have to scrub it pretty good with a scrub brush. Also spray on a dry tire and scrub before it dries up as well. If the tires already wet it just dilutes it.

It does defeat the purpose when the look at me wanna be adventurers (you know who I’m talking about. Same dudes that have $20k of bolt on “overlanding “ accessories rusted onto their Jeep or Taco, parked in I-5 bumper to bumper traffic.

Like the old car bras. Leave ‘em on a while until a little dirt and grit gets under them and you have an instant $200 piece of sandpaper attached to your tailgate! Hahaha fckin tools!
Exactly! “Look, I just paid 100 dollars for free clear coat remover”, lol.

I agree Bleche White, but will also add that you need to flush it with plenty of water after you are done using the product or you can get some streaking.

Made some end caps for the headache rack I'm going to cap them and add a dring so I can strap something to the rack if needed

Unplanned wash and "wax" after work. Hit the car wash across town from the shop. It's an automatic wash and they keep up their equipment. I always ask them not to spray any kind of coating on the truck. So a trip though the wash and then to a parking spot for a quick towel drying and "wax" with Maguire's paste wax.

Sorry the pics aren't better it was tight quarters with cars parked close by.

Installed New drag link yesterday on my '78 k5. Wasn't much fun, thing would not budge. Needed a big hammer and pitman puller to get it off. Test drive today, steering feels much better, for now.

can't install ORD xmember without 2" lift. Instead of blocking the rear I'd like to upgrade.

2012 2500HD rear springs for $100 on FB. If they are 56" and will fit, what do ya'll think.....make the rear too stiff on my K10 (no serious towing)?

Put stainless bolts in front bumper with anti-seize today. Gonna take some cheap white paint and hit all front rivets with it. Drive it for a few days and look for cracks in the paint to tell me if the rivets are loose. Haven't decided on grade 8 or 9 bolts yet.....9 are expensive lol.

NM......they won't fit...too short.
